In August 2004 the work of EPRI was taken up by the EU funded project “EPRI knowledge”. Via conferences, workshops and studies the project aims to promote debate and the exchange of viewpoints between European parliamentarians in the field of IST. EPRI knowledge actively contributes to raise awareness of Information Society Technologies among parliamentarians from national European parliaments and the European Parliament. Furthermore it supports the dissemination of results of the EC's Information Society Technologies (IST) programme and promotes the political debate of ICT-related topics such as: eDemocracy, political decision making on ICT and parliamentary initiatives on ICT.
EPRI knowledge participants are parliamentarians from all across Europe, interested in Information Society Technologies and IST related themes. EPRI knowledge welcomes also members of the Information Society Technologies community interested in political contacts.
