9th EPRI Conference – Registration now open
The EPRI Secretariat is pleased to inform you that the registration
for the 9th EPRI conference is now open. The conference will be hosted
and takes place in the Portuguese Parliament in Lisbon, March 19-20,
2007. The three main themes of the 9th EPRI Conference will be:
- Perception of parliamentary web- based contents by the 21st century citizens;
- The use of web services and technologies by MP’s to get closer to the constituency;
- The use of web services and technologies to rouse up the interest of the 21st century citizens in politics.

4th EPRI workshop: Online – “Web 2.0 for Politicians”
The forthcoming online EPRI workshop will focus on the use of new
media in politics and communication. The two 1.5 hour online radio
shows will take the shape of a "hot air balloon" game, where invited
experts need to convince the audience of their value to society not to
be thrown out of the balloon. During the tow days the following topics
will be discussed:
- Mon 12th Feb, 1:30pm: Making Web 2.0 work for you
- Wed 14th Feb, 1:30pm: Secrets of success? New media in political campaigning,

2nd International cc:eGov Workshop - Organisational change for citizen-centric eGovernment -
Designing efficient and effective e-public services: developing a
systematic understanding of citizen-consumers and their needs
The
2nd citizen-centricity eGov Workshop (cc:eGov) to take place in Athens
on 20-21 February is the second in a series of four events that are
aimed at serving as key drivers to the cc:eGov study project. The
cc:eGov study was launched in June 2006 by the European Commission’s
eGovernment Unit in DG Information Society and Media in order to better
understand the organisational culture and citizen centricity in the EU
and subsequently produce concrete conclusions and tools for policy
makers and practitioners. The 2nd cc:eGov Workshop will
address the challenge of designing efficient and effective public
interest services through systematic understanding of the
citizen-consumers:
The Athens workshop will be highly participative
with attendees bringing their own cases to be explored by the group and
experts: speakers, cases, tools and typologies, peer learning. More

EEEGov 2007 – 5th Eastern European e|Gov Days
The
Eastern European e|Gov Days has become a key platform in making
technology transfer successful between the Eastern European countries
and Western Europe. EEEGov 2007 is jointly organised by the Austrian
Computer Society (OCG) - Forum e|Government (AT), EPMA Prague (CZ),
eGovernment Visegrad group of partners (PL, HU, SK, CZ) and ePSIPlus
network with the support of the Prague Municipality and the Vysocina
region (CZ). Thematic sessions are likely to address among others the
following issues:

Technologies for eGovernment and decision-making;

Change Management for eGovernment;
-
Government to eBusiness (SMEs facing eGovernment, G2B interoperability);
-
Transfer of Knowledge for eGovernment solutions;
