VISIONS OF FUTURE POLITICAL INTERACTION:
AN ONLINE HEARING WITH EUROPE’S NATIONAL PARLIAMENTARIANS

Online hearings
 for the EPRI Parliamentarian’s Network

July 18th & 19th 2006

The online hearing is dealing with ‘Future political relations’, for high-level experts and practitioners from around the world and a panel of Parliamentarians.

The Online hearing will take place via audio (telephone) and web conference, in two 1.5-hour sessions, on consecutive days – 18th, & 19thJuly 2006. It is possible to participate in any, or all of the sessions. Times are 13:00 -14:30 CEST for the Tuesday session and 15:00 -16:30 for the Wednesday session.

CONCEPT

In each session, experts will present their experiences (case-studies) and Visions, offering practical ideas, methodologies, tools or solutions to a panel of scrutinising Parliamentarians. As a registered panel member your role, would be to review these proposals, question the Visionaries and experts, and decide if you think any of these are worth taking up!

In preparation for the sessions the participating Panel members are encouraged to be ready to follow up this hearing, in experimenting with any Visions/solutions that appeal to them – with our continued support and assistance, of course.

Tues July 18th "LISTENING PARLIAMENTARIANS: PARLIAMENTARIANS RELATIONS WITH CITIZENS IN DEVELOPING THEIR CAPACITY TO LISTEN & REPRESENT"
