E-Politics Study (March 2005)
Telewest Business has undertaken a substantial nationwide study of
how the British public feels about getting involved in politics and in
particular, how people feel about using communication technologies in
that involvement. On behalf of Telewest Business, researchers from
Vision 21 questioned 3,150 members of the voting public about how they
currently receive information about politics, how often they vote and
whether they plan to vote in the forthcoming 2005 General Election.
The study also examined what impact the dawn of true online voting may
have and whether the public would like more ongoing electronic dialogue
with their MP.
