The 9th EPRI conference on Information and Communication Technologies

The 9th EPRI conference was hosted by the Portuguese Parliament. The unique scenery of Lisbon was the setting for the conference which took place on 19-20 March 2007 in the historic senate chamber of the Parliament.

According to its tradition, the 2007 EPRI conference was concentrating on Information Communication Technologies and its role in the democratic decision making process. The 9th EPRI conference focused on three themes:

• Perception of parliamentary web- based contents by the 21st century citizens;
• The use of web services and technologies by MP’s to get closer to the constituency;
• The use of web services and technologies to rouse up the interest of the 21st century citizens in politics.

The 9th EPRI conference was organised and hosted by the Portuguese Parliament with support from the EPRI secretariat.
